Kathy Stroder said: I feel for your poor dog, my Beagle had the same thing happen to her, however, luckily it was a small piece of bone stuck between the upper and lower jaw and I was able to get my finger in there and release it from both jaws. Poor thing was frantic though and it's horrible to watch them in that state!

Christine Goduto said: The same exact thing happened to my Australian Cattledog/Shepherd mix. It was a nutty situation. My son-in-law who is a fireman/paramedic came over pronto and used the hacksaw to get it off while my daughter held the dog's mouth closed with a towel. Poor dog was really relieved to get it off.
